Chairman's Letter

Welcome to the website of the Greenwich Republican Town Committee. As Republican Party Chairman, I urge you to use this site to learn more about both the RTC and Greenwich's town government. I also urge you to join us as we continue the long-standing Republican tradition of providing prudent, efficient and effective government in Town.

Greenwich has been blessed over the years to have a local government characterized by very competent elected officials, and an extensive volunteer involvement in Town affairs by so many of our talented and energetic citizens who have generously devoted countless hours to making the town a better place in which to live and raise a family.

We would welcome your support and involvement as well. Please reach out to our elected Republican officials, or to me, if you have any questions or require any assistance.

Jim Campbell, Chairman

an Absentee Ballot Application

Absentee Ballot

In a close election, every vote is critical.  If you will be unable to vote in person on you may be eligible to vote by Absentee Ballot.  If you are entitled to vote by absentee ballot, we encourage you to complete the application as soon as possible and return it to the Town Clerk.

Connecticut Voting Information

Voting Early by Mail

To vote absentee by mail you must apply for a ballot with your town clerk. You may apply anytime for an absentee ballot.

We recommend that you apply for your ballot no later than October 22, 2008 to allow enough time to process your application.

Who can vote absentee

You may vote by absentee ballot if you expect to be unable to appear at your polling place during the hours of voting because of:

1. your absence from town during all the hours of voting
2. your active service in the U. S. armed forces
3. your illness
4. your physical disability
5. your religion forbids secular (non-religious) activity on that day
6. your required performance of duties as a primary, referendum, or election official at a polling place other than your own during all the hours on that day.

WARNING: Voting by absentee ballot if you are not eligible to do so for one of the six reasons listed above can subject you to civil and criminal penalties.

Questions

If you have any questions about voting absentee you should check the Secretary of State's election web site or call your town clerk's office.

Please Note

Note: if you registered to vote by mail and have not yet voted in person, contact your county auditor to determine if you can vote absentee by mail or if there are special identification requirements with your application.
